Another top five for Viñales

Suzuki rider followed up Silverstone win with a solid top five performance at Misano

Maverick Viñales (Team SUZUKI ECSTAR), started from the front row for the fourth time this season at the GP TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini and was able to finish the race in fifth place, six seconds behind Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) who was fourth.

During the race Viñales was penalised for exceeding the track limits and had to concede a position to Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team), but later the young Spaniard recovered to finished in fifth, ahead of Dovizioso and Michele Pirro (Ducati Team).

Maverick Viñales (P5): “I think we have achieved a good result. I am very happy because the team worked very well but anyway we always want more, so in Aragon we will try to work harder and better to give the maximum. I pushed hard in the first few laps but later the grip dropped and I lost some rhythm. To finish to 15 seconds behind the race winner in such high temperatures means that the team has done a great job though.”
