Marquez ready for MotorLand

Championship leader heads back home

It has been a more difficult few races for title leader Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) of late, but the 2013 and 2014 MotoGP™ world champion is ready to push himself back up onto the podium and the top step as his home round at MotorLand Aragon approaches. With his fan club present and his home town just over the border into Catalonia, the track is also one of Marquez' favourites. The rider from Cervera has won there in 125, Moto2™ and MotoGP™, and has started every one of his MotoGP™ appearances at the track form pole - winning in 2013, before mistakes he'll be looking to put right saw him crash out of contention in 2014 and '15.

Marc Marquez: “Aragón is a circuit that I like more than Misano, and I think it suits my riding style better. That said, it’s also true that a particularity of this year is that things may change a lot from race to race, so we’ll see if we’re able to manage things well and if we can have a good weekend. We’ll approach the race ready to adapt to the situation we encounter, but of course we’ll try to fight for the podium again in front of my home crowd and my fan club.”
