The first day in Alcañiz has already been completed, with Movistar Yamaha duo Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales having another positive test, just like they did in Misano, setting them up well for the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon which begins on the 21st of September.

Also on track were Alma Pramac Racing, with Jack Miller setting up for the race and Danilo Petrucci concentrating on doing some tests on the GP18. Due to it being a private test, no official times were recorded, however Miller’s quickest unofficial lap time was said to be a 1:48.8, while Petrucci’s was a 1:49.1.

The factory Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Jorge Lorenzo will be on track on Thursday, alongside Suzuki’s Alex Rins, Andrea Iannone and test rider Sylvain Guintoli, with KTM’s Bradley Smith and stand-in test rider Randy De Puniet also putting in the laps. Both Suzuki and KTM have taken advantage of the two testing days available, with Moto2™ Championship contender Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and teammate Brad Binder also on track.

Jonas Folger was also present at MotorLand Aragon, but only as a spectator. The German has been heavily linked with a test rider role with Yamaha, so does his appearance strengthen those rumours?
