After a slow start to FP3 at the GP Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini due to heavy overnight rain leaving the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli with plenty of damp patches, Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) fired in a last minute 1:32.788 to put himself top of the session and P9 on the combined times as track conditions improved, with second place Jack Miller (Alma Pramac Racing) also improving late to go P10 overall as home riders Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and Franco Morbidelli (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) were pushed out of an automatic Q2 place.

Late drama! @JohannZarco1 leaves it late to top the session and steal a place directly into Q2 this afternoon! ⏱#SanMarinoGP ???????? pic.twitter.com/jlsARXV0ca
Overall quickest and third in the session was Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team), followed by fourth in FP3 and fifth fastest on the combined timesheets Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) as fellow Honda rider Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) rounded out the top five on Saturday morning – third on the combined times for the Brit.
Tom Luthi (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) and Bradley Smith (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) both crashed late in the session – riders ok.
Other than Zarco and Miller’s late charge, none of the other automatic Q2 places were threatened and it’s as you were from FP2 heading into qualifying at Misano – but what will the weather bring? Tune into FP4 at 13:30 local time (GMT +2), followed by Qualifying 1 at 14:10.
