Andrea Dovizioso’s (Ducati Team) FP1 pace matched the scorching weather at the Gran Premio Movistar de Aragon as the Italian topped the opening premier class session of the weekend with a 1:48.020, faster than the race lap record at the circuit, with fellow Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci (Alma Pramac Racing) the only man to get within seven tenths of his best time – 0.190 back.

Just 0.001 split the number 93 from compatriot Viñales, with Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) seventh.
