Despite a big crash in qualifying, Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) topped Moto3™ Warm Up at the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix after setting a 2:27.951 on his final lap. This was enough to beat second-place Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Leopard Racing), the Italian 0.284 off his fellow Honda rider, with home rider Adam Norrodin (Petronas Sprinta Racing) P3 – the Malaysian will have to start from pitlane for irresponsible riding in qualifying.
