After Mission Winnow Ducati Team revealed their colours for 2019, it’s now the turn of reigning World Champions Repsol Honda Team to unveil their latest RC213V, which will be in the more than capable hands of Marc Marquez and Jorge Lorenzo for this season.
It’s been a far from straight forward preseason for the two multiple World Champions though and as recently as Monday 21st January, Lorenzo underwent surgery on a fractured left scaphoid sustained while training in Italy. The good news is the five-time World Champion will be in Madrid for the team launch, but it was confirmed that he and the team agreed he would miss the Sepang Test in order to be as fit as possible for the Qatar Test, which will be held on 23rd, 24th and 25th February.
However, this isn’t just your standard team launch. This year, HRC and Repsol are celebrating 25 years of successful collaboration and for this reason, Repsol Honda and MotoGP™ Legends Mick Doohan and Alex Criville will be joining Marquez and Lorenzo for the presentation.
And remember, you can follow Repsol Honda’s team launch live on motogp.com from 10:30 local time (GMT +1).
