Leopard Racing’s Lorenzo Dalla Porta quickly put the disappointment of missing out on home glory on the final lap in Mugello by finishing FP2 at the top of the timesheets, but it’s Estrella Galicia 0,0’s Alonso Lopez who leads the way into Moto3™ FP3 tomorrow afternoon after nobody bettered his lap from FP1.
A little bit of drizzle in the closing stages of the afternoon session stopped anyone from mounting a late time attack meaning Dalla Porta’s 1:49.213 went unchallenged at the top of the FP2 timesheets. That lap was good enough for third overall, behind the Estrella Galicia 0,0 duo of Lopez and Sergio Garcia.

Kömmerling Gresini Moto3’s Gabriel Rodrigo slips a place back from this morning to fourth overall at the end of day one, a tenth ahead of SIC58 Squadra Corse’s Tatsuki Suzuki, who finished FP2 second quickest.
South African Darryn Binder was over eight tenths slower in FP2 but his lap from this morning was enough to see the CIP Green Power rider finish sixth quickest. Seventh, as a result of his FP1 lap, is Red Bull KTM Ajo’s Can Oncu – a best start to a weekend for the Turkish rider so far this season.
