Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) continues to break Grand Prix motorcycle racing records. Having tallied 50 premier class wins with victory at Brno – becoming just the fourth rider to do so – the Spaniard then surpassed Mick Doohan’s premier class pole position record of 58 after storming to P1 on the grid on Saturday afternoon.

MotoGP™ race recap: Marquez delivers Czech KO in Brno
At the Czech GP, Marquez also drew level with the great Mike Hailwood on 76 Grand Prix victories, with the 26-year-old now having just three riders ahead of him in terms of GP victories: Angel Nieto (90), Valentino Rossi (115) and Giacomo Agostini (122). The three other riders to have achieved the aforementioned 50 premier class wins are Doohan (54), Agostini (68) and Rossi (89).
In terms of podiums, his next target is MotoGP™ Legend Agostini. The Italian claimed 88 in the premier class and with Marquez currently on 87, it seems the seven-time Champion will leapfrog the 15-time Champion fairly soon.
Marquez: a record breaker who is only getting better. But how far can he go? The competition will be out to stop him next time out at Silverstone, just as Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) did in Austria.
