Are Marc Marquez and Lewis Hamilton set to go to battle?

A MotoGP™ World Champion versus Formula 1 World Champion duel could be on the cards

Repsol Honda Team’s Marc Marquez has issued a mouth-watering challenge to Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton in a Champion versus Champion battle. Prior to the British Grand Prix, Marquez said he’d love to challenge Hamilton in a car and a bike to truly determine who is the best.

Hamilton is pretty handy on a motorcycle and even visited the Petronas Yamaha SRT team at the opening round of the 2019 season in Qatar. However, Marquez has some form in a Formula 1 car after testing at the Red Bull Ring in Austria last year, so it would certainly be a close fight.

The pair confirmed their interest in getting on track together after Hamilton posted on Instagram saying: “Let’s go bro! Can’t wait to meet and ride together sometime”, to which Marquez replied via his own Instagram by saying: “Of course!”.

Are we going to get to see a five-time MotoGP™ World Champion up against a five-time Formula 1 World Champion? The pair are currently favourites to add title number six this year, so surely the only way to separate them is to fight it out on track. Who do you think would come out on top?
