Lowes lays down gauntlet on Sunday morning

EG 0,0 Marc VDS rider was nearly four tenths clear of his rivals, polesitter Bezzecchi finished P10

The Moto2™ riders have completed their Gran Premio Red Bull de Andalucia Warm Up session and it was Sam Lowes (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) who kicked his day off in superb fashion. The British rider’s 1:41.248 was 0.384 quicker than Jorge Navarro (Beta Tools Speed Up), with Championship leader Tetsuta Nagashima (Red Bull KTM Ajo) completing the top three.

Lowes showed impressive pace on Sunday morning and he’ll launch from the front row again in Jerez, with fellow front-row starter Enea Bastianini (Italtrans Racing Team) finishing P4 in Warm Up – Tom Lüthi (Liqui Moly Intact GP) rounded out the top five. Polesitter Marco Bezzecchi (SKY Racing Team VR46) finishing 10th, seven tenths adrift of Lowes.

Moto2™ go racing at 12:20 local time (GMT+2) at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. The perfect pre-match meal before the main event!
