Canet tops private Moto2™ and Moto3™ Jerez test

Some of the intermediate and lightweight class runners were in Jerez ahead of the first Official Test of the season

Aspar Team’s Aron Canet has topped the private Moto2™ and Moto3™ Jerez test this week, thanks to a 1:41.130. The Spanish intermediate class sophomore finished 0.299s ahead of second place Sam Lowes (Elf Marc VDS) and 0.420s up the road from Marcos Ramirez (Tennor American Racing).

A total of 15 Moto2™ riders were on track in Andalucia, including four rookies: Tony Arbolino (Liqui Moly Intact GP), Ai Ogura (Honda Team Asia), reigning Moto3™ World Champion Albert Arenas (Aspar Team) and Cameron Beaubier (Tennor American Racing). It was yet more valuable Moto2™ acclimatisation time for all of them ahead of their visit to the Losail International Circuit next week for the Official pre-season three-day Test.
