Lecuona has arm pump surgery ahead of Portimao

The Spaniard has successfully had the surgery on his right arm and will be fit for Round 3 of the MotoGP™ World Championship

Tech3 KTM Factory Racing's Iker Lecuona has successfully had arm pump surgery on his right arm following the opening two rounds of the 2021 MotoGP™ World Championship in Qatar.

The Spaniard suffered a disappointing start to the season with a 17th place finish in the opening round, followed by a crash at last weekend's Grand Prix of Doha.

But, the 21-year-old was suffering from arm pump throughout both weekends, despite having had surgery on two previous occasions to try and alleviate the problem.

He successfully went under the knife in Valencia on Tuesday and will be back on the bike at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
