MotoGP™ arrival highlights Jerez' beauty once again

The World Championship returns to the Circuit of Jerez - Ángel Nieto, a track surrounded by the most charming of landscapes

Following three thrilling opening rounds of 2021, the fourth instalment of this season’s MotoGP™ World Championship rolls around this weekend in the most unique of settings – Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto. After successfully hosting a double to kick off last year’s Championship, the Andalusian track sets the scene once again for the Red Bull Grand Prix of Spain.

Due to the competitiveness, which is always seen on this track, as well as the possibility of again rediscovering the wide range of charms that Jerez de la Border offers, such as the province of Cádiz and the magnetic Andalusian community, it is a welcome return to the south of Spain.

Cádiz has earned recognition as a city with a singular power of attraction, on the seashore and sweetened by the undeniable charisma of its people.

In addition, its attractions go beyond the interior of its historic walls, since the different regions that make up the province are also full of points of interest, from its well-known countryside to a beautiful coastline, where popular enclaves such as Tarifa, Gibraltar or Sanlúcar de Barrameda stand out. Details of this can be found in the exclusive MotoGP™ guide.

On its Atlantic coast, you will find the long beaches of fine sand that belong to the Costa de la Luz, where you will find towns with their own stamp such as El Puerto de Santa María, Caños de Meca or Barbate. There are about 260 kilometers of stunning beaches, but once you have had your fill of golden sand running between your toes, the region has much more to offer.

If you want to delight yourself with its famous gastronomy, where its seafood is among the best in the world, as well as other typical delicacies such as cheeses and sausages, you should consult the exclusive MotoGP™ guide, where you will also find advice on other relevant municipalities such as Rota, Chipiona, Chiclana or Conil de la Frontera. Andalusia is the perfect getaway, with a wide and diverse range of entertainment, always accompanied by a very attractive climate with a choice selection of wonderful hotels, all of which are easily accessible from major ports of entry.

As if that were not enough, there are currently new tourist offers such as 'Andalusia is flamenco' or 'Andalusia makes its mark', where the art of flamenco and the equestrian culture of the region play a leading role. Also, there are proposals such as the 'Andalusia, Origin and Destination' project that seeks to commemorate the V Centenary of the first World Tour through a rich program of activities that pays tribute to the famous Magellan expedition.

Not to be forgotten, there is plenty on offer too for those who want a more active trip. Water sports, such as windsurfing or kitesurfing, are ubiquitous throughout the region, particularly in Tarifa, and you can find out more about this in our exclusive MotoGP™ guide.

Other activities also have a place in Andalusia, such as golf or snow sports in the breathtaking setting of the Sierra Nevada mountains. If you’re seeking a more relaxing time, apart from its paradisiacal beaches, Cadiz offers natural parks such as Los Alcornocales and El Estrecho, both located in the Strait of Gibraltar.
