PrüstelGP welcome back Salac for second half of 2021

The Czech rider will take the place of his late friend Jason Dupasquier from the Styrian GP onwards

Carxpert PrüstelGP and Czech rider Filip Salac will re-join forces for the second part of the 2021 Moto3™ season. After being together in his rookie season in 2019, Salac and the German team parted their ways, but now the Czech rider is coming back “home”. Starting from the Styrian GP, he will take the place of his friend Jason Dupasquier, sharing the box with Ryusei Yamanaka.

With 5th place in Valencia as the best result with the team, Salac is fully focused on restarting from where he left off. One of the biggest motivations for Salac will be, of course, to honour and fight in the memory of Jason. In his new team, Salac will work with former crew chief Stefan Kirsch.

Filip Salac: “I want to thank Florian and the whole PrüstelGP for giving me this chance, after me and Snipers team decided to part ways. I am very happy because the team has proved to be strong this year and I will be working with people I already know from 2019. I am confident to have a fast adaptation with KTM and I can´t wait to start this new adventure. I will do my best also for Jason.”

Florian Prüstel, Team Manager: “After some very difficult weeks for us , we are looking forward to work again with Filip Salac starting from the Styrian GP till the end of this season. We parted our ways at the end of 2019 and he went to Snipers team on the Honda bike. We think Filip is a good performing rider and he can adapt on the KTM very fast. As he was a close friend of Jason, it will be hard for him to race with his bike, but I am sure this will be a strong motivation for him.”
