How is the 2022 MotoGP™ grid shaping up?

Yamaha have confirmed Darryn Binder as Dovi's teammate in their new Independent Team, with just one team now left to confirm their riders

Ahead of the Gran Premio Nolan del Made in Italy e dell'Emilia-Romagna, Yamaha confirmed Moto3™ star Darryn Binder (Petronas Yamaha SRT) will be joining Andrea Dovizioso (Petronas Yamaha SRT) in the new-look WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team in 2022 – the latest and one of the final pieces to the rider line-up puzzle.

So, how is the 2022 MotoGP™ shaping up after the recent news? Let’s have a look.

Confirmed 2022 line-up so far:

Repsol Honda Team: Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro

Ducati Lenovo Team: Jack Miller and Francesco Bagnaia

 

Team Suzuki Ecstar: Joan Mir and Alex Rins

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing: Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira

 

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP: Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli

 

Aprilia Racing Team Gresini: Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales

 

FLEX-BOX Gresini MotoGP Team: Enea Bastianini and Fabio Di Giannantonio

 

WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP Team: Andrea Dovizioso and Darryn Binder

 

Tech3 KTM Factory Racing: Remy Gardner and Raul Fernandez

 

What we’re yet to find out:

The only team that are yet to announce their riders for 2022 is VR46 Ducati. Luca Marini is all but confirmed, with the second seat more than likely going to Marco Bezzecchi. That news should be coming in the near future.
