The Japanese rider ends Warm Up quickest from Marc Marquez as a colossal day in Texas awaits

Takaaki Nakagami (LCR Honda Idemitsu) ended MotoGP™ Warm Up quickest at the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas after setting a 2:04.074 on Sunday morning. Six-time COTA winner Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) got his race day off to a solid start with a P2, Team Suzuki Ecstar’s Alex Rins picked up P3 as a huge day in the 2021 title race awaits.

World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) was P4 in Warm Up ahead of fourth on the grid Jorge Martin (Pramac Racing), with polesitter and second in the Championship Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) finishing 18th. Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) has work to do from P10 on the grid this afternoon, and the Australian’s Warm Up session was hampered by a Turn 1 crash – rider ok.
