Pol Espargaro declared unfit for Valencia race

The Repsol Honda Team rider will now rest up and focus on being as fit as possible for the Jerez Test after his Turn 13 FP3 crash

After his huge Turn 13 highside in MotoGP™ FP3, Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team) has been declared unfit for polytrauma and therefore won't participate in Sunday’s race at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana.

Pol Espargaro went to hospital after the crash, which saw him miss FP4 and qualifying on Saturday, but returned to the Circuit Ricardo Tormo later in the afternoon. After assessing his condition ahead of Warm Up, the number 44 will sit out the final race of the year as he and Repsol Honda focus on the upcoming Jerez Test.
