Repsol Honda to reveal 2022 RC213V livery on Tuesday

You can watch Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro unveil their revamped bikes LIVE & FREE from 12:00 CET

It’s often the case that things don’t live up to the hype, but after the Official Sepang Test, it seems that can’t be said of Honda’s 2022 bike. Months of speculation have surrounded the revamped RC213V, with Team Manager Alberto Puig saying it was “one of our best Tests,” while eight-time World Champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) claimed it had Championship winning potential.

As teams leave Malaysia to prepare for MotoGP™’s debut at Mandalika, it’s set to be a busy week at Repsol Honda, with their Team Presentation scheduled for Tuesday, February 8th. The presentation will offer fans a first look at the factory bike’s livery, which we imagine won’t stray too far from the classic design, while it will offer Marquez and Pol Espargaro (Repsol Honda Team) an opportunity to outline their intentions for the coming season.

Marquez made his eagerly anticipated MotoGP™ return after another lengthy injury lay-off at the Test in Malaysia. The number 93 though seems to have made a full recovery from his diplopia diagnosis while he firmly believes his shoulder is stronger now than it was when we last saw him on a bike; riding to a third victory of 2021 in Misano.

That day proved memorable for a whole host of reasons, with Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) sealing his Championship crown, but it was also a first Repsol Honda one-two since 2017. Espargaro joined his teammate on the podium that day, putting an end to an incredibly frustrating debut season with his new team. Now settled into the team, and with a superior bike, the Catalan will be searching for even further honours in the coming season, and potentially, his first-ever premier class race win.

It’s certainly exciting times for the Japanese outfit, with 2022 a year of promise and potential. You can hear from both riders and the figureheads from behind the scenes, as well as watch their season launch on LIVE & FREE on motogp.com from 12:00 CET on Tuesday.
