Surra fastest during a damp start in Mandalika

Four riders were split by less than a tenth as the Indonesian GP gets underway

Rivacold Snipers Team’s Alberto Surra topped the opening session of the weekend at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, as the Moto3™ riders completed a damp FP1. Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Izan Guevara (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team) completed the top three in tricky conditions, the fastest trio split by 0.062s.

Heavy morning rain in Lombok ensured it was less than an ideal start to the Grand Prix for the lightweight class, but the riders were able to get plenty of laps under their belts nonetheless. Reigning Moto3™ Junior World Champion Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Carlos Tatay (CFMoto Racing PrüstelGP) rounded out the top five.

Moto3™ FP2 gets underway at 13:05 local time (GMT+8).
