Migno heads wet FP3 to continue fine Mandalika form

The overall fastest Italian finished 0.7s clear of teammate Surra during a rain-soaked FP3 – Q2 runners decided by FP2 times

Fastest in the dry, fastest in the wet – Andrea Migno (Rivacold Snipers Team) set the pace on a very wet Saturday morning at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, as the Italian demonstrates his speed in all conditions. The World Championship leader led teammate Alberto Surra and Tatsuki Suzuki (Leopard Racing) in FP3, as FP2 decides which riders are heading into Q2.

Migno dominant, weather playing a leading role

It’s been a perfect weekend in Mandalika so far for the Rivacold Snipers Team, with Migno topping FP2 and FP3 after Surra had gone fastest in FP1. With wet weather greeting the riders on Saturday morning, there were no prizes for guessing that Friday’s dry times weren’t going to be improved, meaning the FP2 standings dictate which riders are heading into Q2.

Q2 runners – Garcia in Q1

Migno leads Carlos Tatay (CFMoto Racing PrüstelGP) and Leopard Racing’s Dennis Foggia on the combined standings, with Ayumu Sasaki (Sterilgarda Husqvarna Max) and Izan Guevara (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team) rounding out the top five. Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Tech3), Riccardo Rossi (SIC58 Squadra Corse), Jaume Masia (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Scott Ogden (VisionTrack Racing Team) and Ivan Ortola (Angeluss MTA Team) are the fastest 10 riders so far this weekend.

Elia Bartolini (QJMotor Avintia Racing Team), Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets – MSI), Adrian Fernandez (Red Bull KTM Tech3) and Matteo Bertelle (QJMotor Avintia Racing Team) are the final automatic Q2 qualifiers, as Qatar GP podium finisher and title contender Sergio Garcia (Gaviota GASGAS Aspar Team) faces Q1.
