After a total of 20 Grands Prix, the MotoGP™ World Championship has delivered some great and unforgettable moments for many of the World Championship riders, who have been able to savour glory on some occasion throughout 2022, either thanks to a victory, a podium or a title. This season there has been a lot to celebrate. Enjoy a selection of these incredible moments.
Japanese Grand Prix: In his last season with Ducati, Jack Miller (Ducati Lenovo Team) won at Motegi. The Australian had not climbed to the top of the podium for more than a year and was elated after crossing the finish line. Arguably the best MotoGP™ performance of his career.
Argentinian Grand Prix: One of the most iconic images of the season. In his 200th race in the premier class, Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia Racing) managed to finally take his first victory. A unique moment that the Spaniard shared with his compatriot Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), who was 2nd.
Portuguese Grand Prix: Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™) celebrated his first victory of 2022, which also allowed him to take the lead in the World Championship.
Indonesian Grand Prix: The endless joy of Miguel Oliveira (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) on the podium after his win in the rain in Mandalika. The Portuguese rider was a premier class victor yet again, something he had not done since the Catalan GP in 2021.
Australian Grand Prix: Alex Rins (Suzuki Ecstar Team) celebrated a long-awaited victory at Phillip Island alongside Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) and Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team). The '42' had not won in MotoGP™ for more than two years.
Australian Grand Prix: Also at Phillip Island, Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team) conquered and celebrated a hard-fought 'Rookie of the Year' crown after finishing fourth.
Valencia Grand Prix: After a historic comeback and a season full of ups and downs, Francesco Bagnaia let himself go after being crowned MotoGP™ World Champion for the first time. An indescribable moment!
Valencia Grand Prix: Alex Rins gave Suzuki what would be the last victory for the Hamamatsu factory in the World Championship before their goodbye. The 27-year-old celebrated his victory on the podium with his compatriot Jorge Martin, who finished third.
Qatar GP: One of the most emotional moments of the season! Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing) wrote his name on the elite list of MotoGP™ Grand Prix winners. The Italian celebrated that incredible first place with Team Owner and Team Principal, Nadia Padovani, a year after the death of her husband Fausto Gresini, founder of the team.
San Marino Grand Prix: The last Grand Prix of Andrea Dovizioso's incredible career. Before an adoring home crowd, the Italian concluded his 248th and last race in the premier class.
