Granado breaks MotoE™ Jerez lap record on Day 2

The Brazilian gets right down to business on his Ducati V21L as the weather clears for some dry afternoon running

It’s been a busy Day 2 at the Official FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship Jerez Test as we witnessed the electric class track record get broken in the final session.

Session three of four was the first outing of the week that allowed for slick tyres to be used, as the MotoE™ field continued to get to grips with Ducati’s stunning new V21L motorcycle. Then, in the fourth and final session of the day, the times tumbled as a new MotoE™ lap record was set in Jerez – an impressive 1:47.053 from 2022 runner-up Eric Granado (LCR E-Team).

A 1:47.310 from Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE™) and a 1:47.478 from Nicholas Spinelli (Pons Racing 40) put the duo inside the top five heading into Wednesday’s last day, where the riders and teams will be hoping the dry weather stays for the four remaining sessions. Mattia Casadei (Pons Racing 40) and Randy Krummenacher (Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™) rounded out the top five.
