Diogo Moreira (MT Helmets - MSI) dominated proceedings in the first session of the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, as the Moto3™ riders took to the circuit for Practice 1 at COTA. Setting a blistering 2:16.908, the Brazilian leads the field by 0.272s ahead of Jaume Masia (Leopard Racing) and Ayumu Sasaki (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP).
The young Brazilian put in a strong performance, showing a lot of confidence ahead of the weekend. The Portuguese Grand Prix victor Daniel Holgado (Red Bull KTM Tech3) was in the mix as well putting his KTM in 4th spot, ahead of Deniz Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) who rounded out the top 5.
