It was Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney V4R46 Racing Team) who topped the timesheets in FP2 with qualifying looming at the IndianOil Grand Prix of India. Alex Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP™) trailed the Italian by 0.203s as he took P2 in Saturday morning's qualifying precursor. Luca Marini (Mooney V4R46 Racing Team) rounded out the top three as he eyes up a solid result.

Championship contender Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) took P4 with Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) rounding out the top five.
