Remembering Cecil Sandford

The two-time World Champion, who competed in Grands Prix between 1950 and 1957, has sadly passed away at the age of 95

Two-time Grand Prix World Champion Cecil Sandford has sadly passed away at the age of 95.

Born in Gloucestershire, England, Sandford made his Grand Prix debut in 1950 and went on to win MV Agusta their first-ever world title with the 1952 125cc World Championship. Before he concluded his motorcycle racing career, he won the 1957 250cc World Championship with Mondial and secured himself a special place in the history books as a two-time World Champion.
