The Moto3™ class kicked off the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, with David Alonso (CFMOTO Valresa Aspar Team) ending the session quickest after setting a blistering 2:16.537 on the final lap of the session. The Colombian was ahead of the Championship leader, Daniel Holgado (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3) who ended the session in second after a quick lap in the final lap minutes. Jose Antonio Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) rounded out the top three after a strong final lap of the session, after spending most of Free Practice outside the top 10.

That's already just a few tenths off last year's pole time! 👏#AmericasGP 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/EKDuRMYpL5
David Muñoz (BOE Motorsports) was straight on the pace at the Circuit Of The Americas, ending the session just 0.242 from the top spot. Muñoz was ahead of Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP’s Collin Veijer, who, after a late lap time, placed the Dutch rider inside the top five. It was a dramatic session for Ivan Ortola (MT Helmets – MSI), with the Spaniard only setting seven laps in the opening Free Practice session after getting black-flagged with 15 minutes left on the clock.
You can catch the Moto3™ field back on track at 13:15 local time (UTC -5) for Practice 1, so make sure you keep up to date with all the action on motogp.com!
