The MotoGP™ field took to the track for the last chance to perfect their setups before an unpredictable qualifying awaits at Mugello. Leading the way with added confidence on Saturday morning was Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), who will be hoping for a good qualifying after the #1 was handed a three-place grid penalty for Sunday after a Practice incident. Bagnaia set an impressive 1:45.608 and was ahead of Gresini Racing MotoGP™’s Marc Marquez, who was second after the 30-minute session as rumours surrounding his future continue. Behind the #93 was Franco Morbidelli (Prima Pramac Racing) in yet another strong session for the Italian, who will be fighting in Q1 later on.

Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team) took fourth position on Saturday morning to finish ahead of Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GASGAS Tech3), who was pushing hard in Free Practice 2. Acosta was 0.492s adrift from the top spot and ahead of Aprilia Racing’s Maverick Vinales in sixth position. Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ Team) was seventh and will also have to fight in Q1 later on but has looked strong throughout the weekend ahead of Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), who rounded out the top eight.

The #73 was ahead of Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team’s Marco Bezzecchi, who was 10th and unveiled a special helmet that he will use this weekend. However, some big names are further down the order, including Championship leader Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing), with the #89 down in 15th position – 0.941s adrift from Bagnaia.
