Yamaha tackles new private test at Valencia

The Japanese manufacturer takes a new step forward with its test at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, involving Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins

Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™ is working hard to return to the top of the MotoGP™ World Championship. Just a week after the Official Mugello Test, the Japanese manufacturer's official team is back this week at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia with a new private test on Friday the 14th of June.

Like the rest of the teams on the MotoGP™ grid, the official structure of the Iwata factory had to lament the rain at Mugello that affected its test. A new opportunity has emerged this week, thanks to the concessions, on the Valencian track. We will have to wait to see if the sky gives Yamaha a break, as the rain already made an appearance in Valencia on Monday afternoon.

Alex Rins himself posted a message on his social media lamenting the rain that was pouring on the track. "We are not lucky at all. We came a little earlier here to Valencia to ride from 6pm to 8pm, but it started to rain," said the '42'.

For his part, Fabio Quartararo also published a series of messages from the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in the hope of getting the most out of the test programme with his M1. Team Director Maio Meregalli, who confirmed the absence of the recovering Cal Crutchlow, already expressed the intention to work on corner entry and braking whilst at Mugello. What will Yamaha surprise us with in Valencia?
