Hat-trick: Zaccone steals pole from Gutierrez in Germany

The Italian claims his third consecutive pole position as he beats Gutierrez and Spinelli at the Sachsenring

It was a dramatic qualifying for the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship with Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) storming to a third consecutive pole position, after setting a magnificent 1:26.234. The #61 put together a perfect lap to steal pole position from Oscar Gutierrez (Axxis-MSI), who will start from P2 on the grid on Saturday as the Spaniard missed out on pole by 0.062s. Meanwhile, Nicholas Spinelli (Tech E-Racing) will round off the front row after coming through Q1, as Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) gets set to start from P8 and deal with a Long Lap penalty in Race 1 after crashing under yellow flags. Meanwhile, title-hunting Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar Team) is forced to settle for P10 after an early crash in Q2.
