What did riders do during their summer holidays?

Beach. Beach. And more beach. Plus a few other interesting trips for our now very relaxed MotoGP™ grid

It's been the perfect time to recharge the batteries for our MotoGP™ stars ahead of a full-throttle end to the 2024 season. From the British Grand Prix through to the Grand Prix of Valencia, there'll be limited time to think about anything other than the fastest two-wheeled machines on planet earth, which is why the grid took full advantage of our summer break. Let's take a look at what they got up to.

Aside from winning a second Race Of Champions at World Ducati Week, the World Champion Pecco Bagnaia was busy with a pretty important life event. The Italian tied the knot with long-time partner Domizia Castagnini in a beautiful ceremony also attended by VR46 Academy colleagues and friends Luca Marini, Marco Bezzecchi, Franco Morbidelli and, of course, the boss Valentino Rossi.

Jorge Martin, Aleix Espargaro and Pedro Acosta let off some steam in Ibiza by watching and then catching up with Australian superstar DJ Fisher. Espargaro was then spotted in Monaco for the final stage of the 2024 Tour de France, sharing a moment with eventual yellow jersey winner Tadej Pogacar.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Jack Miller was back home in Australia but in typical Thriller style wasn't content with just relaxing around a pool. Instead, he was testing himself in the latest round of the Australian MX Championship in Toowoomba. Although the number 43 had swapped tarmac for dirt, he still stuck to traditions by pleasing the home faithful with a shooey to toast the weekend.

Marc and Alex Marquez both enjoyed the Euro 2024 final whilst on their holidays, as Spain defeated England by two goals to one. Meanwhile, Alex Rins treated himself to a bit of retail therapy whilst recovering from injuries sustained at the Dutch TT. The Spaniard jetted off to Italy and the Lamborghini factory to select his latest motor.
