It was a dramatic qualifying for the FIM Enel MotoE™ World Championship with Oscar Gutierrez (Axxis-MSI) securing a phenomenal pole position after setting an incredible 1:37.970 at the Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich. The #99 set a new benchmark with Hector Garzo (Dynavolt Intact GP MotoE™) claiming a crucial second place start on the grid. Garzo was 0.066s adrift from pole position and jumped from ninth to P2 on his penultimate flying lap. Kevin Zannoni (Openbank Aspar Team) rounds off the front row, as Miquel Pons (Axxis-MSI) is forced to start from sixth and dramatically, Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) is down on the third row in ninth with work to do on Saturday. Further back, Nicholas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing) will be forced to start from P12 on the grid after the Italian was unable to make it through to Q2.
