Martin lands Best Take Off award in Japan

The Pramac star's sensational Sprint start made him the choice for Qatar Airways Best Take Off

Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) salvaged a challenging weekend at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan with two impressive comeback rides after a frustrating qualifying session left him starting 11th on the grid. In Saturday’s Tissot Sprint, Martin fought his way up to 5th place, setting the stage for an even more remarkable performance on Sunday. Despite starting from the middle of the pack, Martin surged through the field to finish second, right behind title rival Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team), who reduced Martin’s Championship lead to just 10 points over Round 16.

Martin’s resilience was further rewarded when he won the Qatar Airways Best Take Off award, thanks to his blistering start from P11 to a podium finish in the Tissot Sprint. It was a weekend that demonstrated Martin’s grit and determination, keeping him firmly in the Championship fight as the season nears its climax.
