Triumph Triple Trophy: Ogura clinches 2024 honours

The World Champion was awarded the 2024 prize at the Solidarity GP of Barcelona

The accolades keep rolling in for World Champion Ai Ogura (MT Helmets – MSI) as the Japanese star has also bagged the coveted Triumph Triple Trophy Award!

Chosen by fans for displaying strength, skill and resilience, as well as superb sporting success, the #79 has won a custom-liveried Triumph Street Triple 765 RS, a magnificent machine that was handed to him at the Motul Solidarity Grand Prix of Barcelona.

More than an incredible 630,000 votes were cast as MotoGP™ fans from all corners of the globe voted for their favourite rider each weekend after a three-strong shortlist was chosen by a Triumph Triple Trophy judging panel. Having made that shortlist nine times in 2024, Ogura won the fan vote on five of those occasions – and that was enough to secure him the Triumph Triple Trophy Award.

Ogura’s history-making campaign saw him become the first Japanese rider to win a World Championship since 2009, and the first from his country to win the title in the Moto2™ Triumph era. Ogura also becomes the fourth winner of the Triumph-backed TTT competition which will move to MotoGP™. With Triumph remaining as the official Moto2™ engine supplier until at least 2029, more names will etch themselves alongside the Japanese rider in years to come.
