We have witnessed many incredible races throughout the 2024 MotoGP™ season. From incredible first corner moves to unbelievable last lap battles. It made for some unforgettable memories, adding to the spectacle for fans around the globe.

We’ve compiled the top five races that we think deserve to be crowned the best:

Portuguese GP

The Portuguese GP was a special race, with Jorge Martin's impressive performance not only giving him an additional 25 points but also allowing the #89 to take over at the top of the standings from Francesco Bagnaia.

Another key story from Portimao came from rookie sensation Pedro Acosta, who claimed his first podium following late drama for Maverick Viñales, with the #12 suffering a crash on the last lap.

There was also the incident involving two World Champions after Bagnaia and Marc Marquez collided with three laps remaining. Pecco went home empty-handed, while his future teammate finished P16 after a blockbuster Grand Prix.

Americas GP

The opening stages of the Americas GP at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) delivered breathtaking action from the first lap. Acosta seized the lead before finding himself in a fierce battle against Martin. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez and Jack Miller engaged in a dramatic fight, with the #93 even losing a piece aero after contact with his Miller's motorbike.

Marc Marquez seemed poised to end his winless streak before his dream slipped in the closing stages, crashing out of contention at Turn 11 as Maverick Viñales stole the headlines and secured victory. The #12 completed an incredible comeback after dropping to P11 on the first lap. This victory allowed Viñales to etch his name into the history books, becoming the first rider to win with three different manufacturers in the MotoGP era.

Spanish GP

Marc Marquez claimed a great start from pole position, charging into P1 as rival Francesco Bagnaia invented a magical double overtake on Lap 1. The Italian launched his attack on Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi at Turn 6 on the outside.

Martin soon took control of the Grand Prix before a late blunder saw the #89 crash at Turn 6. This left Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez to fight for victory at the start of a breathtaking duel. The Italian rider continued his impressive record at Jerez, denying the #93 an important victory in Spain.

French GP

The French GP was one of the highlights of the season, with Martin completing an incredible weekend at Le Mans. The #89 secured a win in the Sprint and the Grand Prix, securing the maximum 37 points available and proving how dominant he can be on a race weekend.

Throughout the race, fans were treated to a tight battle between three World Champions: Martin vs Bagnaia vs Marc Marquez, with the fight coming to its peak on the last lap. Martin was able to beat his two rivals, with Marquez beating Bagnaia to finish second after a brave overtake at Turn 9 on the final lap of the Grand Prix.

Australian GP

Phillip Island is no stranger to late drama, incredible comebacks and classic battles, with 2024 being no different. Marc Marquez initially made a bad start, dropping down to P13 after his visor tear-off fell under his rear wheel, causing his tyre to spin.

The #93 had work to do, with Martin and Bagnaia leading the field. Marc Marquez continued to work hard, caving through the field, to catch the title-leading duo. The eight-time World Champion was soon back at the front, running a red-hot pace which would kick-start a battle between Marc Marquez and Martin.

With three laps remaining, Marc Marquez launched the decisive move on Martin at Turn 4. The 'Martinator' tried to retaliate, but in the end, it would be the eight-time World Champion who secured his third victory of the season.
