Oliveira withdraws from Argentina GP

The Portuguese rider is headed home for more checks, Savadori also set to sit out the race

Miguel Oliveira (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) has withdrawn from the Argentina GP following his tangle in the Tissot Sprint on Saturday.

The Portuguese rider suffered contact from Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) as the rookie crashed out when attempting an overtake. The FIM MotoGP Stewards gave Aldeguer a Long Lap for the Grand Prix race for the incident.

Oliveira was diagnosed with no fractures but will head home to undergo further checks to his shoulder.

Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia Racing) has also decided to sit out the remainder of the GP after twisting his shoulder - although he didn’t crash - on Saturday.
