Acosta to travel to Le Mans after successful surgery

The Spanish starlet was suffering from arm pump issues, but looks set to participate in the French GP

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing star Pedro Acosta recently underwent a successful medical check-up in Barcelona following surgery on his right forearm to address arm pump. The procedure, commonly performed on MotoGP riders, was necessary after Acosta experienced discomfort during recent Grands Prix.

The 20-year-old talent is now on the road to recovery and has been cleared to travel to Le Mans for this weekend’s French GP. However, he still needs to be passed fit by medical staff at the circuit on Thursday.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing took to their social media channels to provide an update on his progress:

"@37_pedroacosta underwent a positive medical check-up this afternoon in Barcelona and has been cleared to travel to Le Mans. A final medical assessment by MotoGP medical staff will take place on Thursday to determine his participation in the #FrenchGP."
