Aldeguer to undergo surgery following fracture in training crash

The Spaniard now faces a race against time to be fit for the opening Test in Sepang

Gresini Racing’s Fermin Aldeguer has suffered a major injury blow ahead of the new MotoGP season, with the Spaniard fracturing the shaft of his left femur after a training crash in Valencia. The #54 will undergo surgery on Friday, January 9 in a bid to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.

The 2025 Rookie of the Year now faces a race against time to reach full fitness for the opening Test of the year, which is scheduled for Sepang from February 3rd.
