It’s nearly time. Registration for the 2027 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup opens on the 26th of June, giving young riders from across Asia and Oceania the chance to take the next step on the Road to MotoGP.

The Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup is one of the most important stepping stones in motorcycle racing. It gives young riders the opportunity to compete alongside MotoGP and prove themselves on equal machinery aboard the Honda NSF250R Moto4 machine. With everyone riding the same bike, talent makes the difference.

The pathway is proven. Recent graduates continue to make their mark on the world stage. Ai Ogura became Moto2 World Champion before stepping up to MotoGP and claiming his first premier-class podium. Senna Agius is now a multiple Moto2 race winner, while Veda Pratama and Hakim Danish have both celebrated breakthrough podiums during their rookie Moto3 campaigns.

Enrollment and selection
Registration opens at Home - Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup on the 26th of June 2026 and runs until the 26th of July. Once registered, applications will be reviewed and a shortlist will be published ahead of the Selection Event, where the next generation of Moto4 Asia Cup riders will be chosen.

This year’s Selection Event takes place at the Sepang International Kart Circuit in Malaysia on the 27th and 28th of October 2026.

At the Selection Event, riders will be assessed both on and off the bike. Those who impress will be offered a place in the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup.

Important information
There’s no minimum racing experience required. We’re looking for potential, determination, and the desire to improve.
Previous experience could include dirt track, MiniGP, motocross, scooter racing, or any other form of two-wheel competition. We’re looking for skill, ambition, and the hunger to develop, not polished race winners.

Applicants must be born between the 1st of January 2006 and the 1st of February 2013.
