Chantra undergoes successful right knee surgery

The Thai rider will miss the upcoming German and Czech GPs, with Nakagami to stand in at Brno

IDEMITSU Honda LCR have confirmed that Somkiat Chantra has undergone successful surgery on his right knee following his training crash.

Chantra will be forced to miss the upcoming German and Czech GPs while he recovers from the lateral collateral ligament operation, and while he won’t be replaced at the Sachsenring this weekend, HRC Test Rider Takaaki Nakagami is set to stand in when we head to Brno next weekend.

Hopefully we’ll see the Thai star back on track as soon as possible.
