Martin to miss Malaysian GP

Aprilia Racing confirm the Spaniard will remain on the sidelines to continue his recovery

Aprilia Racing have confirmed that Jorge Martin won’t be back on track just yet, with the Spaniard also set to miss the Malaysian GP.

Martin crashed as part of a multiple rider incident at the start of the Tissot Sprint in Japan, something which remains under investigation with the FIM MotoGP Stewards until a hearing can take place, and broke his collarbone.

Sidelined since, he’s missed the Grand Prix race in Japan, the Indonesian GP and this weekend in Australia, where he has been replaced by Aprilia test rider Lorenzo Savadori. Now it’s confirmed he won’t be back at Sepang either, with Portimão the earliest we might see the return of the 2024 World Champion.
