China and Poland celebrate 2025 MotoMini title success

Shengbo Sun and Witold Dariusz Kupczynski emerged as our Champions as a phenomenal day of MiniMoto World Series Final action takes place in Valencia

Ahead of the Grand Prix of Valencia getting underway on Friday, the FIM MotoMini World Series Final took place at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo as we celebrated the crowning of our 2025 Champions in the 160cc and 190cc classes. Step up Poland’s Witold Dariusz Kupczynski (160cc) and China’s Shengbo Sun (190cc)! A brilliant array of riders and teams from across the world produced an excellent few days of racing, with a total of nine nationalities – China, Poland, Venezuela, Malaysia, Australia, the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain – tasting podium success on Thursday.

160cc

Kupczynski got the day off to the perfect start with victory in Race 1 ahead of his Polish compatriot Jan Babiarz, while it was Italy’s Daniel Putorti who rounded out the opening rostrum of the day. Race 2 witnessed the same trio of stars on the podium – however, this time in a different order. Babiarz clinched the win by 0.4s, with Kupczynski and Putorti second and third.
Then came the Super Final, and we witnessed a finish that was about as close as we could have seen. Kupczynski beat Putorti by a slender 0.003s to become 160cc Champion, as Spain’s Javier Vigueras finished on the podium in a race that saw the top four, which included Babiarz, split by just 0.2s. Those results meant that Kupczynski clinched the title, with Putorti and Babiarz separated by a point in second and third overall.

190cc

It was an equally thrilling day in the 190cc class too. Sun kick-started his day with a victory in Race 1 to finish ahead of Australia’s Judd Plaisted and the UK’s Thorley Trevorrow, while in Race 2, it was Venezuela’s Diego Gonzalez who collected a fantastic win ahead of Sun and Malaysia’s Qabil Irfan, to set up a tense Super Final showdown.
And it was the two race winners, Sun and Gonzalez, who were in a league of their own in the Super Final. In the end, Sun held off the challenge from Gonzalez to clinch the victory and the title, with Gonzalez’s P2 securing the Venezuelan the silver medal. P3 in the Super Final was secured by Germany’s Ole Säuberlich, and that result handed the young German P3 overall.

And that concludes another brilliant FIM MotoMini World Series Final. Congratulations to our 2025 Champions, race winners, podium finishers, and all the competitors for their efforts this season, as we now look forward to doing it all over again in 2026.
