Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) returns to action this weekend after this collarbone injury sustained in the Tissot Sprint in Japan, but the #1 will have an added complication at his comeback Grand Prix: a double Long Lap penalty on Sunday.
The same Turn 1 incident that saw Martin sustain the injury has remained under investigation with the FIM MotoGP Stewards since it happened, and on Thursday morning they held a hearing with the Spaniard.
The result is a double Long Lap for riding “in an irresponsible manner causing a crash”. He’ll have to serve that during the Grand Prix race on Sunday.
