Following his scary accident in the Catalan GP, Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) was taken to hospital for further assessments where he has been diagnosed with a broken right collarbone and a small fracture of his C7 vertebrae. The collarbone fracture will be stabilised with a plate and the Spanish GP winner is scheduled to have surgery this evening.

The whole paddock wishes Alex a speedy recovery and we hope to see him at the track again soon!
