Ryota Ogiwara from Japan and Alfonsi Daquigan will debut in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2026! The two have been selected by Dorna to make the move following impressive performances last season, as Ogiwara took the crown and Daquigan finished the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup in third overall.
Ogiwara put in a stunning season in 2025. The Japanese rider was undefeated across the first four rounds before completing the year with two further podiums at Round 6. Daquigan, meanwhile, was a consistent top finisher and then took the double in Indonesia, adding another podium at Sepang in the finale to underline a year of impressive progress.
Now the two will join the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup grid and take the next step on the Road to MotoGP – with Daquigan becoming the first rider from the Philippines to take part in the competition.
