Alex Escrig stole the spotlight on the final day of Moto2 pre-season testing in Jerez, emerging as the only rider to dip into the 1:38s as action concluded on Tuesday.
The Forward Racing rider unleashed a blistering 1:38.815 on his penultimate run, sealing top honours at the iconic Circuito de Jerez and closing out pre-season preparations in style.
Day 1 pacesetter Celestino Vietti (SpeedRS Team), secured second overall, just 0.214s shy of Escrig’s benchmark. Completing the top three was Alonso Lopez (Italjet Gresini Moto2), ensuring a tightly contested conclusion to the test.
With pre-season now wrapped up, attention shifts to the Moto2 season opener in Thailand — the next chapter in what promises to be another thrilling intermediate-class campaign.
