TIME SCHEDULE: Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Austria

Calling at: Austria! Get ready for Round 15 of the season and take a look at all the important times this weekend

Our final stop before the flyaways begin: Red Bull Ring – Spielberg! Incredible views and equally incredible racing have made this circuit a firm favourite over the years, and now Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) enter the weekend level on points. We’ve got plenty to look forward to as we enter the second part of a thrilling double-header – but who will reign supreme this time around? Dive into all the must-know times for the Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Austria!

THURSDAY: questions, answers and paddock talk

There’s no better way to start your Austrian GP weekend than with MotoGP GearUp on Thursday afternoon. Tune in as Jack Appleyard and Louis Suddaby look ahead to this weekend’s proceedings, giving you the latest gossip from 15:30 Local Time (UTC +2). After that, the pre-event Press Conference begins, where Marc Marquez, Jorge Martin and Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) will answer highly anticipated questions from the world’s media at 16:00!

FRIDAY: MotoGP action in Austria!

Our annual trip to Spielberg really begins on Friday morning as Moto3 FP1 begins track action from 09:00. After, we head straight into Moto2’s opening session of the weekend at 09:50 before finally the premier class heads out for MotoGP FP1 at 10:45. There’s only a small break on Friday, with Moto3 Practice giving us a taste of what’s to come at 13:15. That’s all before Moto2 enjoy further action at 14:05 before the MotoGP grid are back at 15:00 – fighting for direct entry to Q2. We’ve also got the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup joining us for company, with FP1 at 12:40 before FP2 at 17:05. 

SATURDAY: qualifying and Sprint surprises

We’re awake earlier on Saturday as Moto3 kicks off the day’s running at 08:40 before Moto2 FP2 gets underway at 09:25. 10:10 sees MotoGP FP2 begin ahead of the premier-class stars’ qualifying from 10:50. The lightweight category sets their grid from 12:45 before Moto2 fight for pole honours at 13:40. Then we’ve got our first racing action of the weekend as we go lights out for the MotoGP Sprint at 15:00. That’s not the only racing either, with Baggers enjoying qualifying at 12:05 ahead of Race 1 at 16:10.

SUNDAY: racing takes over Spielberg

Baggers begin Sunday’s running, with Race 2 starting at 08:55 – make sure you set a reminder! MotoGP Warm Up is next, going green at 09:40 ahead of Moto3’s highly anticipated 20-lap scrap at 11:00. Moto2 go racing across 23 laps at 12:15 before attention and tension turn to our main event: the Austrian GP! MotoGP gets the show on the road at the usual 14:00 time slot. We’ve got analysis afterwards too, with After the Flag starting at 15:20, ahead of the post-GP Press Conference, where you can hear from the top three finishers!
