With Johann Zarco’s recovery ongoing, Cal Crutchlow will make his fifth appearance of the season this weekend in Germany. Crutchlow, who has three Grand Prix wins and 19 podiums (including three at the Sachsenring), has contested Grands Prix at Mugello, Balaton Park, Brno and Assen so far this year and whilst points haven’t yet been awarded, he’ll aim to bring it home once again and pick up anything that’s on offer.
The Brit’s three podiums in Germany came in 2013 when he was P2 from second on the grid, whilst a big comeback in 2016 saw him claim second again but this time from 13th. The last of his German GP podiums came in 2019 with a third place, proving to be his penultimate podium finish in MotoGP.
