Zarco handed Double Long Lap Penalty after Barcelona crash

The Frenchman will need to serve an LLP when he returns to action

Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) continues to recover from his injuries sustained at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Catalonia but when he does return, he’ll be subject to a Long Lap Penalty for his role in the first turn incident. The #5 caused the crash which involved himself, Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) and Luca Marini (Honda HRC Castrol) and due to it being a first offence, the sanction is two Long Laps when he is back on track, which is currently being targeted for September.
