Aleix Espargaro withdraws from Indonesian GP

The Honda development rider won't complete the weekend in Indonesia, where he was subbing for the sidelined Joan Mir

Aleix Espargaro won't take part in the Grand Prix race at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia. As a result of the time on the sidelines endured by the #41 following his big crash earlier in the season in testing, paired with the unique physical demands of racing round Mandalika, Espargaro and the Honda HRC Castrol team decided to withdraw  from the event.

Espargaro is in Lombok as a replacement rider for the sidelined Joan Mir, who is struggling with illness. Now we wait to see if Mir will be confirmed for a return at Phillip Island in Australia to rejoin Luca Marini in the Honda HRC Castrol box.
